How to check if a .raw file is "16-bit, grayscale .RAW file in little-endian byte order. " ?

I have a .raw file, what tool do I need to see if it’s "16-bit, grayscale .RAW file in little-endian byte order. " (which UE4 needs, according to this: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Landscape/Custom/index.html#heightmapformats )

I imported a heightmap from a PC game (which is 4x4 km ingame) with some hills, but when importing to UE4 I get MONSTER high mountains, looks completely different than in-game terrain.
