How should I animate the camera in the following scenario.

Hello everybody. I’m new to UE4 so that’s why I decided to ask here.
What I want to achieve is the following. In my FPS game I have my character in bed. As he wakes up I want the camera to move as if attached to the character’s head: he raises his head, turns around, stands up.
I’m not really sure how to achieve this. What I was thinking is having an animation for getting out of bed and attaching the camera to a socket in the skeleton. Will this work? Is there an easier or preferred way of doing this?
If I try the method I mentioned above what will happen with the player capsule? Should I use root motion of something similar? I’m really confused so I could use some help! Thanks!
