How do you make a good hair shader for VR with MSAA?

In my VR project I’m using MSAA but I can’t figure out how to make a good looking hair shader. The usual masked material with DitherTemporalAA looks bad because there’s no TAA, and translucent materials have problems with depth sorting on the hair mesh. Anyone know how to get around these problems?

Did you find a solution for your problem ? I can see my alembic hair only in the left view of my VIVE, its unvisible in the right eye. :stuck_out_tongue: thx

I know this is two years late, but you should try just using a masked material and removing the dither temporal aa node. MSAA supports CoverageToAlpha for antialiased masked materials.
