How Do I destroy an Actor Gate Mesh?

How is it set up so when you walk into the box collision trigger, the gate will
dissapear or remove itself from the map with destroy actor. The gate mesh has
been set to a Actor Blueprint Class. I thought Destroy actor would work with it
but its not removing the gate mesh from my map when I step into the box trigger.

This is needed for opening the gate up across the other side of the desert.
