I’m developing a game over the next year and am looking for some help regarding movement. The type of movement we’re looking to emulate is that of hover junkers (on a moving platform/ship, but still able to move around on said ship). I’ve created a pawn with a mesh which moves (using set linear physics velocity) and have nested the motion controllers + camera under that.
Is there a better way to do this movement? I eventually will also want to add another mesh within the “ship” mesh that acts as an elevator, moving vertically. I’m also wondering whether or not there’s a better method of achieving this movement without putting the “ship” mesh in the same pawn blueprint as the motion controllers and camera.
I am relatively inexperienced with Unreal but have been learning it over the past few months - any help is greatly appreciated.
