Major corporations with large investments into asset generation are big into gaining exclusivity to content e.g. athletes likeness/mocap/facial scans and collecting large portions of legal ownership over asset rights. Once you get large scale enough creating the assets gets less important/difficult while legally being allowed to and having exclusive rights to the content in the corporate world gets more important.
