Help with velocity

Im trying to get the velocity of a mesh or component or even actor, thats not simulating physics.
I need it so I can get the X & Y DIRECTIONS to use for a walk blendspace.
This is being done from real life vr movements, left /right & back and forwards. Not from controllers input axis to a movement component hence why Im having a bit of difficulty getting this without simulating physics.
I would be grateful for help with this.
