Help with exporting a 3DS Max rig without skinning and to show bones in game view

I have a rig and I modified the bones to look like my base characters shape. I’d like to only use that, and not skin my actual character for now. So in essence I would like the bones to show as my character. Is that possible?

I think if you use the Import Rigid Animation option then it will use those objects as meshes. It’s a feature you would normally use on normal animated objects that don’t have a skeleton rig, but I think it would work for that situation.

How would you select the rig to export out to FBX correctly though?
