Help to get going on a "model viewer" project

I’m completely new to Unreal and looking for some pointers to get me going as there’s just soooo much to take in from the off!

Basically, I’d like to create a little “model viewer” test system that just renders a single, high polygon (could be pushing 200,000 polys) model, shaded with the Physically Based Materials, and lit using just a single HDR background image (ie, use image based lighting).

How should I go about looking to do this?

Thanks in advance for any pointers … I appreciate it in helping with the large learning curve ahead of me!
