Hey, I have a question about using Mixamo character models
I’m trying to make a project for an assignment where my focus is having characters in world respond to noises from different sources, e.g. looking at a player, point towards the source of a loud noise, etc.
I’m using mixamo character models for the player and NPCs, and have some parts of what I want set up, e.g. I have an object producing a noise which sets a vector on the player object (For now as part of testing), and a look at alpha, which are set as values for the lookat function in the animation blueprint. However, I’m assuming this is an issue with mixamo characters, but while the unreal mannequin had no problems with this, the mixamo character just seems to stare straight up when I face the object and I can’t for the life of me figure out why.
I’ve attempted to retarget the skeletal mesh to see if that would fix it, but it hasn’t seemed to have any effect. Would anyone be able to give me some advice on what else I could try?
