I am using the ALS V4 that has the torch. I am trying to figure out how to light other torches in the level using this torch but only when equipped and only when lit. This is half way working with the problem of the unlit torch becoming lit when the hand torch is not even equipped and I can not figure out how to stop that from happening.
I have a wall torch as an actor that I figured I would add an overlap event then reference the ALS torch somehow. So I go placing a collision on the tip of the ALS torch.

Inside the ALS_Base_Character is a function for equipping and lighting the torch and it sets a bool as “is holding torch?”
And here is a video of when my character jumps into the wall torch actor it actually lights up even when the ALS hand torch is not equipped.
