Having trouble with my melee combat system and getting it to work

Hello,

I’m working on a melee combat system for my first game. It’s based around a simple punching system, but it’s already becoming more complicated than I thought. Any and all help would be appreciated - I’ve been stuck here for at least a week at this point and nothing seems to be working.

Edit: Looks like the hyperlink formatting isn’t working, hopefully it works right anyway.
Edit 2: I apologize if the video framerate is bad - I set it to 120 FPS, but I’m not sure what could’ve messed that up (other than my PC being bad).
