Has anyone run into physics issues with the character movement component before?

So the character movement component does so many great things that it would take me 100s of hours to replicate, but it seems to have a fatal flaw that I’ve been struggling to get around. I can add some janky addForces or impulses that work sometimes, but when a dynamic object the size of a truck bounces off of your character like a beach ball filled with helium I am shocked that I haven’t been able to find any reasonable solutions to this online. In most games–for instance something simple like halo 1–if you jumped and then were hit by a flying crate, you would be bounced back far more than the crate would be, but for the life of me I can’t replicate this reliably… Has anyone ever solved this issue?
