Hair Shader: Right Texture Orientation for Tangents?

Okay, so I’m a bit confused right now. I know that, for the tangents in the new hair shader to be mapped automatically, the textures need to be oriented in a certain way with the root-tip orientation always going in the same direction within the texture. However, what I’m not clear on is which direction that is supposed to be. The documentation says:

But in the content example, it’s the other way around for most of the hair pieces (and I think in the livestream about the content example, they also said it should be root at the bottom, tip at the top) so which one is correct?
