I have a grass material that i painted on my landscape, but it is doing some sort of lines. can i fo something about it???
That’s just the nature of a high amount of tiling on a texture that has stand-out details that you’ll notice.
You could mask in a secondary texture that uses a different scale, or scale up the material at a distance so it’s not as obvious.
I’m pretty confident in saying we’ve all dealt with this and thankfully, there is many solutions to it. A search of “tiling textures” should yeild many solutions to read up on.
My personal favorite is “Macro Texture Variation.” And you can combine different techniques, as well.
They all have the same basic concept and that is to break up the tiling texture with some sort of variation that essentially hides the tiling lines.
