GPU Profiler Help! (Base Pass - Static Ebasepass....Type=1)

I’m working in a scene and suddenly the GPU profiler jumped up by several orders of magnitude for the MS.

In this case, the offender is very specific, but I have no idea what it is. I’m using the Forward Render, and my entire scene took less than 6ms before. It should be noted that I had enabled Dbuffer Decal shortly before baking and then checking this (I made a related post about the potential for the system to switch to deferred by accident).

It’s almost 40ms.

I’m not sure what could have changed, but I have NO idea what that particular line means. And all searching can’t seem to parse easily enough to decipher the GPU profiler.

Any help?

Searching through documentation and the GPU profiler info is extraordinarily scarce for isolating particular lines of concern.
