GPU Crash - Black Screens (Overload on fans RTX3090)

Hi dear members of Unreal

Unreal Engine Crashes. It started two days ago and before that I didn have any crash problem of this sort. I have allerede search the web tin of guides, fixes and so. But nothing seems to work.

The problem:

When i’m in my project and about 5-10 mins in - typically when i do something GPU heavy, making foley or changing settings on the light I will get an instant black screen, on both my screens. Yesterday it started to happen, before that i didn have any problems.

The GPU will start to go heavy on the fans, like 120% fan speed and there it will be stuck. Until i force restart the computer.

First i thought it was a problem within my project as im a bit new to unreal, i may have changed something in the project that started to make the error, but no. I just tried starting an entiere new project and when i get to the Foley(Making a forest) ex. my screens/gpu crash.

I have tried to watch the taskmanager as i work in unreal, but nothing really pings out. And when i get the crash, i need to force restart, so i dont see any errors when i starts up again?

Here is some of the things I have tried:

  • Disable MSI Afterburner
  • Delete all cache and files in the Unreal AppData folder
  • Reinstalled GPU Driver
  • Tried to lock my fans on the same settings
  • Entire new project
