Google cardboard split and warped image on mobile devices

I am attempting to build an app for android devices with “google cardboard” support using unreal engine. I cannot find any information on the web regarding how I approach splitting the screen into two parts on a mobile device and adjusting the image to compensate for the lenses. The only information I see is for oculus rift.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Supposedly there’s further integration work that’s needed before UE4 can use android devices as vr displays. See here:

no word yet that I’ve seen if they’ve made those fixes yet.
