Good Examples of Animating, AnimMontages, AnimNotifies, etc. in C++?

Is there a good example of handling animations using C++?
I’m having a lot of trouble handling the animations, all sorts of little bugs like AnimNotifies not working if called from certain places or with PlayAnimation(), etc, and it would be nice to have a good example of how to do this well.

I’d rather not leave C++ as there’s a decent bit of logic attached with the animations that should theoretically be playing, and it would be very uncomfortable to be forced into Blueprints for it.
