Long-time UE tinkerer and professional VFX artist here. I’m trying to get more into the workflow of using Unreal Engine for my sci-fi virtual sets, so I’m in the process putting one of my sets that I’d normally render with 3DS Max/V-ray into UE4. I have a question regarding an issue I’m having with foliage and lighting, though it also applies more broadly. I’ve attached two screenshots. You’ll see the lighting and LOD issue with my grass on the edges of the sidewalk as I back up away from it a bit. Is there a way to globally increase these settings so that the high quality meshes and shadows stay on for a farther distance? Or, do I have to go into each individual mesh and change settings?
