Ghosting Glitch During Directional Changes in 2D Movement

Hey there, im currently trying to fix this type of movement - ‘bug’ for the past couple of days and am unable to figure out where to go with this.

The ghosting shown in the screenrecording appears in random patterns while spamming left/right.

Would appreciate any type of hint or direction to follow along!
