Gameplay abilities - setup

I’d like to try out the gameplay abilities system. I realize it’s still experimental and under heavy development, but I was wondering if anyone had a few quick tips for getting started.

Even a quick “1-2-3” of how to add it to the project, give a character an ability, and trigger it would be really helpful!
