I have a character that is intended to be free flying and able to basically pass through any object, move anywhere it wants on the map. For that, I turned off all collisions and also disabled gravity in the CapsuleComponent. Of course when I start testing, my character falls right through the floor. Am I missing something here? If gravity is turned off, why is my character being affected by it? Using 4.7.4.
NVM, apparently it’s a bug with the gravity setting and a workaround exists.
If you found a solution (or workaround), please share in case other people have the same problem.
Pretty straightforward workaround laid out on an answerhub, basically you need to set the gravity scale of the character movement. I did it in the construction script but I presume it can be done elsewhere as well.
