The Vive getting started guide says that Vive projects should use the Mobile/Tablet target instead of the pc target. What does that setting do? does it use the mobile forward renderer? Why choose it instead of the pc target?
It wont use the forward renderer.
All it does is:
- set a specific default quality level
- set some default rendering options
And you can always change these yourself through the project settings later. It just makes it easier to have some defaults in the project that are not in need of a cluster of graphics cards to run smoothly in VR.
