I have created a partitioned landscape and painted some foliage on it. At some point, I re-edited the landscape. Some of the foliage got lost if I remember correctly, most looked fine though. At the moment (cannot tell for sure, maybe after restart?) I have some strange behavior when painting foliage: Some regions seem to be invisible to the painting tool. There is no object in the way, if I’m any judge. See the attached video for a better understanding.
Any idea what could cause this?
(The instance count of the selected foliage does not increase either, btw.)
Also, on startup, I get an error message that may or may not be related to the issue:
( or as searchable text: )
Unable to load package '/Game/__ExternalActors__/Maps/SlashOpenWorld/0/2Q/CCF9FLNWS98OVMMDV4VVG2'. The end of package tag is not valid. Check that the file is of the expected type and not corrupted.
This may also be related to an incomplete writing process, since my editor crashed a few times lately. How can I find the damaged Actor and remove it?
P.S.:To make sure that I don’t have any messed up cashes after the unexpected process exits, I tried deleting my APPDATA/local/UnrealEngine
folder, but this doesn’t help.
