First foray into photogrammetry not good

Hi nice people,

Today I got 4 sets of around 60 images of complex organic geometry like the attached image

They were taken with a 60mm lens on a Nikon D5300 at both JPG and RAW.

I mainly rotate the object but also rotated the camera sometimes too.

Unfortunately was getting poor alignment at the first stages when running RC software

Tomorrow I have the ability to try and fix, do I just need to take many more photos? I imagine the colour of the objects doesn’t help much either.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Don’t rotate the object unless you have a green/ blue screen background and have it on a turn table.

Just take photos from different angles with about 60% overlap in the photos. 20-30 photos would probably do it for that one
