FBX Import: model naming issues

Ok so yeah, Can we import multiple mesh in a single fbx file so that each mesh does not receive the FBX files name as a prefix for of the imported mesh name?
From my understanding , we can not do this with the standard importer settings unless I’m missing something somewhere.
Unchecking or checking ‘Override Full Name’ does not let me keep the mesh names inside the FBX. Doing it both ways adds the file’s name as prefix. Like so : FBXname_Meshname
And I understand that is the expected result, however anyone know of any work arounds ? For example changing something in a config file?

I wish there was a solution to this problem…
