I have a number of small FBX static scenery mesh files (<100Kb ea) that have been converted from OBJ files using FBX Converter. I have the FBX Converter set to 2013 and transforms look fine. I can import one file and it seems to import within seconds and looks good. However if I attempt to import a 2nd file, it will hang. Any suggestions? My alternative is to pull into Blender and combine as one file, which I was hoping to avoid.
Are you following a tutorial on using the FBX converter? It’s likely an issue with that kind of workflow. There’s not a lot of different types of data in an OBJ so I don’t think the problem would be there, it’s most likely an issue with the settings in the FBX converter.
Hi, FYI in my case certain FBX and OBJ can take over 7mn… I dunno why, and size doesn’t mater most of the time.
I made sure it was 2013 format, but aside from that, I need to see what other config is available in the converter.
@anonymous_user_2a6ff468: I’ll let it run and see if that’s the case. I’ve also re-converted to ASCII to see if that makes any difference in the FBX Exporter. After letting it run for probably 30 minutes, it was still hanging, which requires me to kill the UE Editor.
