Failing to capture this white obj, ideas?

Hey friends

I’m trying to capture this skull. It’s a white clay type material. My alignment results are 6 components with about 3% successful cameras per component.

My only guess it’s too white? I’m thrown back with the results because I thought the bone structure of the skull was clear enough to at the very least generate the front face. Also, all images are masked, correctly white balanced and there is no clipping or over-exposed according to lightroom and photoshopRAW.

Any ideas how I can improve capture please?

Here are my settings, I tested other settings with worse results.

. Thanks a ton for sharing your ideas !

It’s far, far too white and featureless.

Even I with my human eyes can’t spot any features that could be tracked across the different camera positions.

You’d definitely need to coat the surface with a pattern or use some kind of noise projection to get somewhat decent results.

Hi @Lukas Schulz , hadn’t thought that was the case and was pulling hairs !!

Thanks a lot for your guidance, I’ll try with the coating
