EventAnyDamage only fires on an overlap event

So i have a collision capsule on my charcters hand. I want it to do damage when i hit an enemy. The enemies eventanydamage seems to only fire during overlap events and not collision events. I am turning the collision capsule on my hand on when the animation plays and off when its done so as not to do damage when i just run around and touch the enemy. Please help!

Hi, just for some back round information, I wanted to let you know a little more. I am Jsut 16 years old and have only been doing this a a few years. I know that this may seem very, very basic to many of you; but I do need the help. I am just trying to learn all of this, so if you do know anything, please help.
