Epic Game Launcher problems

I see there are many recent similar problems to mine, so I’ve gone through the troubleshooting list which didn’t resolve anything.

  1. I’ve added the -http=wininet to the end of Target Path Field
  2. I’ve also tried -OpenGL to the end of the Target Path
  3. I’ve updated my graphics card
  4. I’ve removed and downloaded the latest Game Launcher

Nothing worked. I have been using the Launcher without problem for a months but only started having this problem 3 days ago (did I notice somewhere in the other topics that a new launcher was released 3 days ago?). I’ve mostly been working “offline” but now I can’t even launch the program. I haven’t changed anything on my system that might cause a problem.

UPDATE
I downloaded the Launcher again, last night, and this time I am able to work in “offline” mode but still cannot connect online.

I apologize for the delayed response. Based on your logs, you are using launcher 2.9. We recently released version 2.9.1 (as of 2 days ago). Could you please update to this version?

Do you have any network or antivirus software running on the system that has updated?

Thanks for you reply, but yes… It was too late. I lost out on a contract job because I couldn’t connect to download from the marketplace.

I’ve downloaded the latest version 30 minutes ago but I get this error message:
“Error
Could not establish a web session. Please try again.”

The problem might stem that I am on a satellite connection and there is a 2 second ping delay to connect to anything online. I also have a data download limit so this makes life difficult, especially when I go over the limit and I am throttled.
