Enemy health update trouble

While I was working on a tutorial. I was having trouble with my enemy updating it’s health every time the Attack Trace would hot the enemy after the first hit. I can see the Attack Trace is hitting the enemy because I see yellow check marks indicating it is making contact but my enemy health is still not updating after the first hit.

are you adding the TakeDamage node?

Did you set up the Take Any Damage?

The way that works for me is to BIND the enemy health variable to the enemy widget in a function in the umg widget.

Set a take damage function in your enemy BP and update the health from the Enemy BP, then the UMG updates itself from the bind.
