DOF for near and far objects in 4.26

Hello. For some reason I struggle really bad because of something that used to be very easy – setting up DOF to blur both near and far objects simultaneously, leaving the area around player character sharp. Can somebody please tell me what settings should I use to achieve simply that – the blur of close objects (two metal things on the front of the picture) and background (the cityscape)?

For me it works just fine. Maybe reading through this again will help? If not you should provide some more informations about your camera/post setup.
