Does anyone know How you do what this person is describing in this video.

Basically he is creating a constrain for the simulated root bone to follow the animation target and Im wondering how this is done.

All that it is really doing is checking collision on the hip.
if you collide you remove the animation and ragdoll.

Not sure. Why he needed close to 10m to explain that. They must have needed to pad the talk.

I never actually thought about it being that simple.
