Distribution Map


In Forest Pack for Max, you can make your own distribution maps where objects are assigned to white areas of an image and not to black.

I have a project here where I need to place loads of street assets (street lights, traffic lights, cars etc).

The way I’m doing it is I’ve painted colour coded dots on the map so I know what goes where.

It’d be great if I could turn the dots for traffic lights white and tell unreal to place traffic lights on the dots.

Is this possible?

This would have other benefits. In Unreal, loading in a google map and painting white for where trees, houses etc go. Making it even more like FP, it’d be good to have a variety of houses in a list and Unreal randomly assigns houses to the white areas.
