i wonder how many people paid for ue4 shortly before it became free,…i feel sorry for those that possibly bought a subscription the day before this happened, any thoughts or rage stories any one. not trying to stir up trouble at all its just this has being a popular conversation today at were i study game design ()

During the twitch cast those that just paid the sub was returned and got a 30 GC to boot.
There should be no rage at all.
Epic refunded everyone their last month of subscription and gave all subscribers a $30 voucher for the marketplace.
yah I paid for a mouth last year to get 5.1 and 4 days before they released it for free to get 4.7. so I am in front. they have credited my last $19 and gave me 30 store credit. I would say most people that had the subscription really didn’t have any problem with it in the fist place.

I’ve been subscribed since april 2014, happily paid the $20 a month (of which you could actually keep the engine if you unsubscribed) for an engine worth millions and now that’s its free well just made me even happier and now everyone can enjoy this awesome engine for free.

Even if we didn’t get a refund I see no reason to be angry, that would be absurd. We suddenly get the whole engine for free and people get angry because they payed a few bucks when it still wasn’t? That would be very ungrateful.
Yes, everyone got a pro-rata refund of their last sub, plus a $30 marketplace voucher.
I don’t think we could have been given a fairer deal from Epic. (Except perhaps an complete Autodesk suite license

Did you receive last month refund to your PayPal account ? I have not received anything like that, I activated subscription about week before GDC.
If you have paid for a subscription on or after January 30th, you will receive a pro-rated refund for your latest month’s payment after MARCH 12TH.
