Long story short. I want to use Depth fade to collect the area on my plane that makes contact with any buildings. I am going to then use that Data to render a Snow material where my ground reaches the building, giving the impression of snow settling in that area.
I was also planning on using that data to displace the areas upwards to simulate a mound of snow forming, just for a test.
I am aware that Depth fade only works with translucent materials due to the order things are rendered (so I am told), and was wondering if there is a nice alternative to this?
