Datasmith - Poor Bump to Normal conversion

So Datasmith converts all the 3dsMax bump maps to normal maps, but it seems to do a crappy job and makes them all very lumpy. Attaching references. Bump map for a tiled floor, should be sharp indentions for tile seams. Datasmith makes it very lumpy. Normal map I made with basic Photoshop filter has correct sharpness.
Could Epic fix this so I don’t have to manually convert all my normal maps.
