Imho you need asymmetric dampening and limit on maximum force of the spring.

it’s basically to avoid a violent forces from rapid compression of the spring when wheel hits a bump and prevent rapid spring expansion when you drive over the hole in the road.
The higher velocity of the spring the higher dampening force will be, depending on direction of velocity you can set it to 25/75 (this seams to be a typical proportion in regular cars).
