OK so, lets say i have 50x50x50 Minecraft blocks, however instead of them all being individual which somehow makes them glitchy when i turn mouse fast, some look like they disappear for a split second. My question, is it possible to make them into 1 object until block is broken which would but still keep as little objects as possible.
There’s been plenty of write ups and demos on how to make Minecraft style games, including within UE4. Minecraft itself uses chunks to combine groups of 16×16x256 for optimization and performance reasons.
You can increase the bounds of a static mesh to make it less likely to disappear when moving a camera around really fast.
Hi AndriSve, you may find “Instanced Static Mesh” interesting for your application - it may help with the performance.
