i try to create a hole in my landscape. I habe both materials assigned. The hole material is set to masked and the landcape visibility node is plugged into the opacity.
When i apply the material with the visibility tool the hole shows up but removes the landscape material and replaces it with the hole material in a certain area. I really dont know whats going on there, Any advice for me?
There is a known issue with landscape visibility materials doing this and it is currently being assessed. For now, it would be best to keep your landscape holes in the same material as the rest of your landscape to prevent this from happening. Thank you and have a great day!
The material setup for creating a material mask for the landscape did not have materials setup inside. The material setup needed to be copied over as well. Pictures of material setups are included in the forum post.
I’ve also encountered this same error after following the instructions perfectly.
The solution after that was to restart UE4 editor and everything was fixed. Even setting up the material just as a copied version of your landscape material with a landscape visibility mask was not enough.
