Control Rig Stretches my Mesh to Infinity


I imported a Skeletal Mesh correctly rigged and weight painted into UE 4.26. I can animate manyally without any glitches but when trying to create a Control Rig with a simple Basic IK my mesh stretches into infinity from the point of the Effector joint. Like so:

I just want to be able to control the tail more organically but i really dont understand why this is happening. Any idea?

Same here, I’ve spent two days trying to get rid of this issue. It’s so simple but almost impossible for some reason.

Had the same issue, your bones probably have ill-formed scaling (100.0) instead of 1.0 throwing the Basic IK off…
