I have 12 levels in my game. Need tips on the transitions.
Level 1 is a set of maps streamed in without world composition. About 2km in length with multiple overlapping areas.
Level 2 is as a very large landscape (~15km across) created using world composition.
Now the question is it is possible for me to somehow switch between level 1 and 2 without a loading screen? Any kind of workaround? Can I maintain a persistent level somehow so my character model stays on screen? My only thought right now is make the loading screen a character model video or image. I’m trying to make the game as seamless as possible and this is the big hitch. I really liked how in Bayonetta it never took away the controls between loading, the loading screens still allowed you to move the character before the levels loaded.
