Component replication extra bandwidth usage

According to the component replication documentation

So is this a 5 bytes extra per variable? I have a component having approximately 50 variables and there might be 50+ of those classes in the game at the same time so it might pile up to be a huge amount. Although they do change at a relative less frequency, it still feels like it is a lot extra bandwidth that can be saved.

Is this something that needs to be avoided?


No, it will be 5 bytes for replicating the component itself. The bandwidth usage of the variables on the component itself will be the same as on an actor.
