After using it for a few days, it is definitely growing on me. First thing I did was turn off dark mode. Completely unreadable for me. That said, once I let go of the old forum paradigms in my head, I am liking the more responsive read/unread tracking and forum tracking and the like. What I think needs to be fixed is the post replies going both in-thread and in-line. That just seems like a glitch. Also I think a lot of people here were really relying on badges and such as symbols of knowledge and authority. Taking those away would certainly leave a hole in their soul. 
Sigs, I personally don’t care for, but I know a lot of devs relied on them for self-promotion, and it is a nice reminder to see what else they are known for. What I really miss, though, is a clear indicator of the last poster on a thread (not just some icon). I’ve gotten to know a lot of devs here by reputation, and if I see one that has replied to a thread (or the thread creator for that matter) I am more likely to click through just to see what they had to say. Usually it is a solution to someone’s problem, which is always a learning experience for me.
