I’m currently trying to create a cover mechanic using Kobold’s Cover Animset Pro. It’s great but my game isn’t a shooter so I don’t want my character to look like they’re holding a gun all the time. The animations are perfect for giving the illusion you are standing behind cover but I want the arms to be more relaxed. I noticed that many animation packs have character’s who’s arms are in the perfect position however they are usually standing up/crouching and walking as appose to being behind cover. I was wondering if it would be possible to combine the animation of the cover system(legs, arched back) and the animation of the standing/crouching animtions (arm and hand placements).
Is there any way to blend these 2 things together? possibly by replacing bones or something?
