I’m making a stylized forest. At first I made all the trees with purple leaves and light blue bark, then I applied a post process effect volume to experiment a bit.
The problem:
Before applying the ppe volume I already noticed that, when I left the camera (or even the in-game character) still for a while the scene became much more lit.
Now, with the volume, if I don’t move for a while there are even some colors’ changes!
Before:
After doing absolutely nothing:
Any idea about how to perpetually avoid such transition?
Have you checked your Auto Exposure settings either in your camera or/and in your post process settings? It might be the Eye Adaptation feature, which is enabled by default. To disable it, find the mentioned Auto Exposure settings and tweak the Min and Max Brightness values. Making those two values equal will completely kill eye adaptation.
Funny thing is that I already tried it without success. Now I’ve tried again, deciding to try a few other values. It turns out that, in my case, 0.12 is the value that kills this unpleasant effect!
