I don’t know how to make collision meshes and I’m using blender. If I’m able to create a custom mesh inside unity from my imported mesh That’ll be great.
- UE4 can create a collision mesh automatically on import, there’s a checkbox on the import tab.
- You can create various types of collision meshes inside UE4. After importing rightclick your mesh in the content browser and select edit. You’ll find the collision options on top and in the right sidebar. You’ll also see an existing collision mesh in the 3D viewport.
- You can create a custom collision mesh in Blender. Create a simple geometry at the place where your object is, like a box, and rename it UCX_objectname. So if your object is called “hat”, name it “UCX_hat”. Export it along with your object (in one file), disable the collision mesh creation on import. Make sure your normals are correct.
