Cloth simulation when garment and avatar are on 2 seperate meshes

Hi all,

I have a project where I have a naked avatar, and then clothing as a separate mesh (rigged and fitted to the body).
So I have two meshes, the garment-less avatar and the garment.
I would like the garment to have cloth simulation. When I simulate the garment the conventional way (how you would when the avatar and garment are on the same mesh), I can’t get it working.
Anyone know how I can get the garment to have cloth simulation and wrap around the avatar physics?
