Character Rig and Simulation of Clothing and Hair

Hi People,

I am still fighting to understand how cloth simulation works.There is the Owen Character in the content examples, i have two questions about. 1. He does not use his physics asset for the cloth simulation, why is that?. 2. His coat and strap have bones but it seems, that they are not used for the animation, what could be the reason for that?


Also i examined the shinbi Character from the paragon assets, she doesn’t use the physics Asset for clothing neither. But has bones for the hairs as well.
